"The Other Half"

So I joined this group of med school wives called "The Other Half."  Isn't that a cute name?  My friend Betsy coined it.  It does sound better than "Sugar Mamas"

We meet and do fun things and fiercely scout out Groupon deals for each other.  Here we are at The Wine Barn, a real classy;) place that was hosting a cheap appetizer and wine sampler night.
Enjoying and getting to know each other.  We learned among other things that Deanna attended government camp in high school, that Jessica loves Afghani food, and that Katie's daughter is perfect.
Katie S., get in there!

Meet Katie.  She being half Chinese and I being half Filipino naturally had to get a picture together.  Call me silly, but I genuinely feel a bond whenever I discover someone else who is half Asian.  I don't know if they also feel that bond.  Nonetheless, Katie warmly agreed to pose with me for a "halfies" pic.
Is it me, or are our faces angelically glowing in this picture?
There are many more dear women in this "Other Half" group who I have had the pleasure of meeting, and I'm sure over time, they will be introduced to you on this blog.
